🌸 Douglas Blooms Planting Day – Volunteers Needed! 🌸

Main Street Douglas is gearing up for our annual Douglas Blooms Planting Day on May 16th at 9:00 AM in Jackalope Square!

Join us as we continue this beautiful community tradition of planting and distributing flowers throughout downtown and beyond. There are plenty of ways to help:

  • Fill planters with soil
  • Plant flowers
  • Help load completed planters
  • Assist with placing them around town

Many hands make light work, and it’s always a fun and rewarding morning spent giving back to our community!

🎉 Volunteer for North Platte River Clean Up! 🎉

Date: May 17

Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Check-In: 8:45 AM

Location: Bob Williamson Park (Richards St Bridge)

Join us in helping keep Douglas clean, safe, and beautiful! Volunteers will work together to clean up river access areas along the walking path from Richards St to I-25. Projects may include picking up trash, trimming brush, and clearing overgrown areas to improve accessibility and safety.

Lunch will be provided by CCB.

What to Bring:

Gloves, sunscreen, hats, comfortable shoes, and any tools or safety gear you may need.

All ages and groups are welcome—whether you can stay for an hour or the whole time, your help makes a difference!

🎉 Cowboy Crusher 2026! 🎉

Be part of the action at the Cowboy Crusher on July 11th!

Volunteers will meet about 26 miles from Douglas at the Windy Ridge & Boxelder Road junction to help keep cyclists going strong.

We’re looking for help with:

✔️ Running aid & hydration stations

✔️ Cheering on riders along the course

✔️ Supporting an unforgettable outdoor event

🕖 Time: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (can volunteer in shifts or all day)

🌄 Enjoy the fresh air, beautiful views, and a great day supporting these incredible athletes!

Central Wyoming Hospice is seeking compassionate volunteers to support individuals and families on their end-of-life journey. We provide Hospice and Transitions services, along with grief care for the entire community. Volunteer opportunities include Administrative Assistance, Senior Support, Hospice Home Greeter, and Kitchen Help. Onsite training is provided for volunteers ages 16 and up.
